  • NAAMTA Medical Transport Accreditation - Airlift recently received accreditation for their basic life support program. The NAAMTA accreditation validates that AAR Airlift adheres to the most stringent guidelines to ensure a quality management system focused on transport safety, patient care and continuous improvement. NAAMTA’s Director of Clinical Operations said, “AAR Airlift has demonstrated a level of attention to detail and thoroughness that exemplifies the goals accreditation brings to the medical transport industry—high operational safety and increased quality of patient care.” 
  • HAI “Excellence in Helicopter Maintenance” 2014 - The first time HAI gave the award to both mechanics and pilots because it was such a team effort. An AAR Airlift helicopter team working in Afghanistan in support of U.S. troops was recognized for its extraordinary actions in an active combat zone in the summer of 2013. The crew, who performed an emergency engine replacement, at a Forward Operating Base (FOB), in record time during a resupply mission to U.S. forces in Afghanistan, received the Helicopter Association International’s (HAI) prestigious Excellence in Helicopter Maintenance Award.
  • NDTA Corporate Distinguished Service Award - AAR Airlift received the NDTA Corporate Distinguished Service by the National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) in 2014 & 2015 for its support of a strong and efficient global transportation and distribution system in support of the economy and national security of the United States.
  • FL Governor’s Award on Innovation - With world headquarters in Palm Bay, Florida, AAR Airlift won the prestigious Florida Governor’s Innovators in Business Awards in the “Newcomer” category for excellence in business.

Helping Customers Accomplish Their Missions: Search and Rescue in the Falkland Islands 

Challenge: Commercialize the search & rescue operation in the Falkland Islands by transitioning from the UK Military of Defense.
AAR Solution: Airlift leveraged its experience in 3 areas: operating in rugged terrain such as Afghanistan; integrating civil operations into military organizations; and managing overseas staff. Teamed with subcontractors BIH and ARS and identified new rotorcraft platform (AW189) to take advantage of latest technology.
Results: On-time ramp-up of operations included acceptance of 2 customized new production AW189s, training of personnel and deployment of first SAR AW189 in service; Airlift conducted its first rescue operation within days of launch.

We are a certified FAA Part 135 & 133 operations, and approved by CARB for passenger operations. We provide both Contractor-Owned, Contractor Operated (COCO) and Government Owned, Contractor Operated (GOCO) programs.

MRO Services

Airlift is an FAA Certified Part 145 Repair Station with the capability to perform maintenance services in our hangars or at remote sites worldwide on rotorcraft and fixed-wing aircraft. We offer aircraft modification, mission equipment enhancements, heavy maintenance, engineering and structural repairs.
