AAR Integrated Technologies Eligible to Compete on GTACS Contract
Systems integrator part of Harris team selected by U.S. Army for $10 billion ID/IQ
MELBOURNE, Florida – AAR Integrated Technologies, a subsidiary of global aerospace and defense leader AAR (NYSE:AIR), has been granted eligibility to pursue individual task orders as part of a team awarded the Global Tactical Advanced Communications Systems (GTACS) contract from the U.S. Army Program Executive Office Command, Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T).
The team, led by Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), was one of 20 selected to compete under a five-year, $10 billion indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) multiple-award contract to provide tactical command and control systems, equipment, software, engineering and logistics to support the in-theater battle command needs of the warfighter.
Similar ID/IQ contracts were for services only, but this one is primarily for systems and equipment. Harris is an international communications and technology company focused on products such as radios and radar systems. AAR Integrated Technologies (InTech) is one of a handful of companies on the Harris team that is also a systems integrator.
“We’re a leader in this field and this contract provides us with a vehicle to offer our equipment to support battle command operations for our military,” said Melissa Bosley, General Manager, AAR Integrated Technologies. “InTech uses the latest and the best command and control technology to design solutions for our customers that are lighter, smaller and cheaper. We’re glad to be a part of the Harris team.”
AAR InTech will not compete for every task order but has the capabilities to pursue those focused on networking and communications equipment and infrastructure for both fixed and mobile command centers.
