AAR welcomes new team members, unveils reimagined purpose and mission statements
Wood Dale, Illinois — AAR CORP. (NYSE: AIR), a leading provider of aviation services to commercial and government operators, MROs, and OEMs, welcomed its new Component Services team members and unveiled new purpose and mission statements to guide the Company into the future.
Earlier today, the Company held a global fireside chat, where John M. Holmes, AAR’s Chairman, President and CEO, introduced team members to the Company’s new Senior Vice President of Component Services, Jim Berberet, who joined AAR on March 1 as part of AAR’s acquisition of Triumph Group’s Product Support business. Berberet shared insight into the history and culture of the teams at the five newly acquired Component Services locations while the global AAR team enthusiastically welcomed their newest counterparts.
“As I introduced the broader AAR team to more than 700 new employees from the acquisition, it became even clearer to me that we all share the same values. We already feel like one cohesive team,” said Berberet.
Immediately following the fireside chat, the Company unveiled its new purpose and mission statements. The statements, created by a cross-functional team, reflect the Company’s reason for being and approach to achieving its objectives. The reimagined purpose and mission complement AAR’s existing values, commitment to Doing It Right®, and vision and diversity statements. They read:
Our purpose: Empowering people to build innovative aerospace solutions today so you can safely reach your destination tomorrow.
Our mission: Go above and beyond to provide value-driven aerospace aftermarket solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers worldwide.
“Reimagining AAR’s purpose and mission statements helps crystalize the significance of our work. The statements connect our team members to a higher purpose, help our customers understand how we make an impact, and more deeply connect us to the Company,” explained Tracey Patterson, AAR’s Chief Human Resources Officer. “Our purpose-driven culture makes AAR the place of choice to build an inspiring career.”
