LASEREF IV upgrade details

About the LASEREF series

The new configuration of the LASEREF IV delivers a lighter, simplified unit replacement with enhanced reliability, standard digital communication bus outputs, and easier maintenance. Together, these improvements result in the lowest cost of ownership for inertial reference systems.

  • Honeywell’s LASEREF series has been the standard for the commercial aerospace market since its’ entry to service in 1997.
  • Designed to meet safety-critical Design Assurance Level A (DAL A) requirements with applicable civil Technical Standard Order (TSOs).
  • The Gyro compass eliminates the need for magnetic sensors, and supports heads-up display (HUD), synthetic
vision system (SVS), and high-bandwidth SATCOM installations.
  • Meets requirements for required navigation performance with authorized Required Navigation Performance
Authorization Required (RNP AR) approaches with 100% availability.
  • The internal reference unit (IRU) serves as a global navigation satellite system GNSS-denied navigation solution with complete on-aircraft autonomous navigation capability in the advent of GNSS interruption or jamming
