McDonald began his career with AAR in 1996 as Vice President of Operations for AAR Cadillac Manufacturing, now AAR Mobility Systems, becoming its General Manager in 1999. Prior to joining AAR, he spent 13 years with General Electric in the Transportation and Aircraft Engine businesses.
