WOOD DALE, ILLINOIS, April 9, 2002 - AAR (NYSE:AIR) announced today the appointment of Harry Saddock as General Manager of AAR Engine Component Services and Power Services. AAR Engine Component Services specializes in the repair and overhaul of engine components for the commercial aviation market. Power Services specializes in large frame gas and steam turbine life cycle management encompassing the inspection, maintenance, overhaul and repair of new and refurbished components for gas and steam turbine operators.

Saddock brings to AAR over 20 years of extensive industrial experience along with a proven track record of achieving profitable growth. Prior to joining AAR, Saddock spent 10 years with the Barnes Group and most recently held the position of Vice President-Operations where he directly managed the operations of 11 manufacturing facilities throughout North America and internationally. Prior to his position as Vice President, Mr. Saddock held the position of President of the Windsor Automotive division of Barnes Group where he managed multiple operations involving the overhaul and repair of gas turbine engine components. As General Manager of AAR ECS and Power Services divisions, Saddock will be responsible for the development of customer driven strategies geared toward business growth and customer retention.
