| AAR EXPANDS PRESENCE IN HUNTSVILLE WITH ARMY AVIATION PROGRAM OFFICE
WOOD DALE, ILLINOIS (May 29, 2008) - AAR CORP. (NYSE: AIR) announced today that the Company is expanding its presence in Huntsville with the addition of an Army Aviation Program office. The new program office will identify and develop growth opportunities for AAR's products and services designed to support military helicopter platforms.
This is AAR's first corporate-level presence in Huntsville and will complement AAR's operating units in Huntsville which include AAR Brown International and AAR SUMMA Technology. The program office will be collocated with the AAR SUMMA Technology facility and led by Stephen W. Peckham, Vice President, Army Aviation Programs, an industry veteran with over 28 years of experience supporting U.S. Army Helicopter and Fixed-Wing Operations. Prior to joining AAR, Peckham was Program Manager of Black Hawk Engineering Services for Sikorsky Helicopter Corporation and Programs & Business Development Manager - Army Programs for Goodrich Aerospace. Throughout his career, Peckham has served as an operational aviator, a maintenance test pilot, program manager and a business development leader.
