AAR Precision Systems develops advanced composite aerostructures and assemblies and produces high-end subsystems requiring precision machining, fabrication, welding and related engineering design and testing services. AAR Precision Systems’ expertise is based on three primary core capabilities:
- design, engineering and production of composite and other advanced material structures and assemblies
- large scale, highly complex 5-axis machining
- development and integration of electrical / mechanical subassembly systems
Engineering capabilities include 3-D design, pre-fabrication component and material analysis, testing and certification, and production tooling development. Composites capabilities incorporate honeycomb, aluminum and foam core materials with carbon, fiberglass and Kevlar facings, produced utilizing vacuum oven and autoclave cured processes. Fabrication capabilities include close tolerance, machined hard (i.e. titanium) and soft (i.e. aluminum) metal components and assemblies utilizing large-scale, high capacity, complex, 5-axis CNC machines.
