Michael R. Boyce is the Chairman and CEO of PQ Corporation, a leading producer of silicate, zeolite and other performance materials serving the detergent, pulp and paper, chemical, petroleum, catalyst, water treatment, construction and beverage markets. It is part of CCMP, a global enterprise operating 58 plant locations in 19 countries. Potters Industries Inc., PQ’s wholly owned subsidiary, is a leading producer of engineered glass materials serving the highway safety, polymer additive, fine abrasive and conductive product markets.

Since 1998, Mr. Boyce has been the Chairman and CEO of Peak Investments, a company that has successfully acquired five businesses for more than $150 million in the chemicals and minerals businesses. He has served as Chairman and CEO of Peak Lime, Peak Sulfur and Peak Chemical.

Prior to April 1998, Mr. Boyce was President and COO of Harris Chemical Group, CEO of Penrice Soda Products Pty. Ltd. in Australia, Vice President and General Manager of the Industrial Chemicals Division of General Chemical, President of Catalyst Resources, Inc., and Vice President and General Manager of Sylvachem Corporation.

Mr. Boyce holds a Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia State University. He attended the University of Houston's Graduate School of Business and is a graduate of Harvard University's Advanced Management Program.
