David Prusiecki is Vice President, Defense Programs of AAR CORP.
Mr. Prusiecki joined AAR in 1979 and since that time has served in various senior level capacities including Division Controller, Corporate Assistant Treasurer, Vice President-Defense Aviation Services Group, and General Manager of Engine Component Services. In 1993, Mr. Prusiecki was named Vice President of Military Programs and in January 2000 was appointed a Corporate Officer. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Prusiecki was selected to be President, Defense Systems and Logistics, a business that he led from 2001-2006. Under his guidance, Defense Systems and Logistics experienced substantial growth and evolved from a trading business into a multi-dimensional enterprise with market leading Performance Based Logistics and Value Added Distributor Programs. In 2008 he focused on corporate wide growth in Defense Programs, and in 2008 he also assumed operating responsibility for AAR Aircraft Component Services-Amsterdam. In 2011, he commenced leading the expansion of our civil aircraft business, supplying and maintaining narrow bodied commercial transport aircraft configured for special missions for use by foreign and U.S. Government agencies.
Prior to joining AAR, Mr. Prusiecki served as an auditor in public accounting, where he was primarily responsible for assessing and enhancing customer inventory processes and controls.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Prusiecki served in the U.S. Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer on active duty from 1969 through 1973. Following active duty, he remained in the Naval Reserve achieving the rank of Commander.
Mr. Prusiecki earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin. Additionally, he is a Certified Public Accountant.
